A last visit to the OPA

In our last post for 2023, we share our member Michael visiting the Office of the Public Advocate. The OPA looks after the rights of people with disability and mental illness in Victoria and has strong legal powers. We went there to celebrate 35 years of their Independent Third Person program. The ITP supports people with cognitive disability in police interviews. Michael shared his journey of the justice system with everyone at the celebration and was a funny, warm and passionate self-advocate.

We would like to thank each of you for supporting Voices for Change this year and we wish you and your loved ones a safe and relaxing Christmas and New Year. See you in 2024.
